5 Sites To Read E-Books For Free

Project Gutenberg

This is a best website that functions with an agenda of digitalizing books that are out of copyright. Most of the classics can be obtained from this site for free. If you are interested in getting their entire collection, they are ready to send you a DVD with all the e-books they have digitalized for free. You can donate them if you can to show your support.

Google Books

Google Books contains e-book variant of newer books too but, the preview is limited to certain important pages of the text. You cannot download books from their site. If you are looking for some reference Google Books might suit you. Magazines are also found on Google Books.

Free E-books.net

This site stocks some of the rarest books you might not find on the sites mentioned above. I was saved by this site at many instances when searching for a book. Get Free EBooks is a similar site.

Planet PDF

Hosted by Nitro PDF’s makers, this site has a PDF version of a lot of books which you can find on Gutenberg. The text is bigger and can be easily read. I downloaded ‘Sense and Sensibility’ from this site and loved their edition.

The Burgomeister’s Books

This site has a lot of E-books (both contemporary and classic). You may request any number of books and the agreement is that you delete the books after reading them since keeping some of them in your system is not legal. I regularly download books from this site. You may download the entire collection at the same time after donating the site’s owner.
