Introducing the Samsung GALAXY Note [VIDEO]

Samsung GALAXY Note is a new type of smartphone.It is the ultimate on-the-go device which consolidates core benefits of diverse mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability, creating a whole new experience.

The GALAXY Note has a 5.3” display which is the largest screen size with smartphone portability. It features the world’s first and the largest 5.3” HD Super AMOLED display, an expansive high-resolution screen that provides an immersive viewing experience. Taking full advantage of the large display, users will be able to do more tasks to create and consume more, with minimum scrolling and screen transitions, while on the go. An advanced pen-input technology, called the S Pen, is combined with the GALAXY Note’s full touch screen to introduce a new type of user-experience. Through this, consumers are able to freely capture and create ideas while on the go.

Samsung NX11 Digital Camera

New Samsung NX11 are designed to provide easy functions as well as better performance to help users capture those perfect images. These features are combined to give photographers more convenience as well as freedom to get the shot they require.

The Samsung NX11is the latest addition to the NX Series of cameras. Not only does it come with inter-changeable lens, the Samsung NX11 also features other functions that makes its use quite convenient. The NX11 Digital Camera features the i-Function system for the lens at a touch of a button. The camera’s i-Function lens can be controlled by using the i-Function button as well as the ring on the lens to control camera settings quicker and without taking the camera off its target.

The Samsung NX11 also has Smart Auto features, shooting modes, smart filters and others make shooting more convenient for the photographer. It is also capable of shooting and recording video in 720p HD quality. Its larger APS-C sensor allows for better quality videos and images. The new Samsung NX11 Digital Camera has just been recently introduced but may not be available yet on the market. Samsung has not yet stated how much it will cost.

Samsung Star II S5260 Announced Officially

Samsung has officially announced the new Star II smartphone, which is a successor to the Star that sold 30 million units recently. The new Samsung GT-S5260 Star II smartphone features a 3.0-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display and is practically the same phone as the GT-S5230 Star. The Samsung Star II will release next month in Germany followed by other European countries, CIS, South America, India and Middle East. Although there is no word on the price of this smartphone, we expect it to be somewhere close to the Star model.

Korea IT Times reported about the announcement of Star II. In terms of specifications, Samsung Star II is almost the same phone like the Star handset but there are few changes in it. Star II GT-S5260 carries same 3.0-inch WQVGA capacitive touchscreen with TouchWiz UI 3.0 placed over it. Users can customize the interface by adding a number of widgets to the homescreen. For imaging, it offers a mediocre quality 3.2-megapixel camera. The Star II comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless connectivity, which is the one feature missing from the Star.

Samsung boasts of the Social Hub support in Star II that offers integration of Social Networks like Facebook and Twitter with the phone data. Also, the multi-IM 2.0 offers flexibility to login into multiple IM accounts like Yahoo, Google Talk, AIM, MSN and Facebook Chat through a single app. It's very similar to what HTC started with its Sense UI on smartphones.

Avid social network users would certainly adore this full-touchscreen handset that offers integration of Social Networks and IMs with the phone data. Typing won't be an issue since Samsung has added its own QuickType T9 Trace Keyboard that is meant to be quite useful while chatting or typing text quickly on the phone.

Samsung Star II GT-S5260 also offers 3.5mm audio port to let you plug your favorite headphones and microSD card slot to add more storage.

Samsung’s Tweeting Refrigerator

Samsung sold 10 million Galaxy S phones worldwide

Samsung has officially met its goal of 10 million Galaxy S phones sold around the globe. That's less than seven months since the device first hit the market, which by Sammy's fuzzy math averages to about one unit for every two seconds it's been on sale. According to Samsung Tomorrow, North America contributed the most with 4 million in sales, followed by Europe at 2.5 million.

Samsung intros NX11 and WB700 digital cameras

Samsung launched two of its digital camera that will be shown to the public at Consumer Electronics Show. First is the mirrorless compact NX11 camera from the NX Series. The NX11 is an upgrade to its NX10 camera and sports a revamped design and i-Function lens support.

With the help of i-Function lens, photographers can adjust settings like aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance directly from the lens while shooting. The NX11 is equipped with an APS-C sensor, which means DSLR-like picture quality, 14.6MP resolution support, 3-inch AMOLED display, VGA electronic viewfinder, 720p HD video recording, face detection, various shooting modes etc. It will start selling from February for $649

Another camera that was shown today is WB700. This point-and-shoot camera boasts an ultra-zoom of up to 24X with the help of a 24mm Schneider-KREUZNACH lens supporting 18X of optical zoom and 1.3X of Smart zoom. The camera can take pictures in up to 16MP resolution and features zoom noise reduction, dual image stabilization, full HD video recording, HDMI-out, Smart Filter 2.0 and RAW image support. The WB700 will start retailing from April for $299.99.

Samsung Galaxy Player Launch At CES 2011

Samsung is planning on launching the Samsung Galaxy Player at CES 2011. The Samsung Galaxy Player is an Android powered device.

Samsung Hub reported that the media player will be modeled after the Galaxy S smartphone, running the Android OS 2.2 Froyo. Furthermore, the Galaxy Player would feature two cameras, front and rear facing, coming in 8, 16, and 32 GB models.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab Luxury Edition

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab Luxury Edition today at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam

The Galaxy Tab Luxury Edition will sell for about $1,000 and be packaged with a leather case and a Bluetooth headset, the TG daily reported.

The tablet included in the Luxury Edition package is the exact same Google Android-powered model as the standard Samsung Galaxy Tab, the report said.

The base-model Galaxy Tab sells for about $599 through Verizon, or $399 from Sprint or T-Mobile -- as long as you're willing to sign up for a 3G data plan.

AT&T is selling the 7-inch-screen tablet for $650 without a contract.

The Samsung Transform review

The Samsung Transform has an attractive design with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard along with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen and a front-facing camera. The phone is comfortable to hold and has excellent call quality.

On the downside, it has a low-resolution 3.5-inch HVGA screen at 480 x 320 pixels, an 800-MHz processor that gets bogged down easily by the software, and slightly slow load times on the web.

The Samsung Transform is one of the first Sprint ID Android phones, along with the Kyocera Zio and the LG Optimus S. This allows the user to switch between different profiles like EA Games, which lets the user demo games and use EA titles for your wallpaper, or The Big Apple, which has New-York-centric apps and wallpaper.

At $149, the Transform doesn’t price right and doesn’t fit well into Sprint’s competition. For those who want a low-end QWERTY Android phone, there is the Samsung Intercept for $99. If you can live without a keyboard
, the $199 HTC Evo 4G is a better deal. If you need a keyboard, the $249 Epic 4G is worth the investment, especially when considering the cost over two years.

Samsung unveils digital video store Media Hub

Samsung on Thursday announced, a digital video store called Media Hub where users will be able to download movies and TV shows onto Samsung phones, the upcoming Galaxy Tab device and personal computers.

Renting a movie will cost $3 to $5 and buying one will cost $10 to $15. TV shows cost $2 per episode and cannot be rented.

Samsung's Media Hub files will be wrapped in copyright protection, which limits the number of devices that can store each video to five.

Videos are also confined to the small screens. While some devices, including Samsung's upcoming tablet computer, have the ability to transmit video to a TV, the Media Hub content won't display on an external screen.

Samsung's Galaxy S smart phones will gain access to Media Hub later this month. The Galaxy Tab, an Android tablet with a 7-inch touch screen, will also have the store. Software for PCs will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, Kim said.
